Jim Gregory Tournament
The Condors met exciting competition at the Jim Gregory Friendship Tournament in Toronto. And they emerged standing tall. More than 700 players took part -- 40 teams from across the United States, Canada and even one team from England. Our own Benjamin Simon was invited to do the ceremonial face-off with a player from the host team (Orangevile Wolves) in the opening ceremonies. The Condors tied two games with Canadian teams from North Bay and Orangeville. They lost the third game by one point to the team from London, England. It was a cliffhanger and the Condors played their hearts out -- to the wire.  Well Done! Coach Ethan gave our guys and their parents a tour of his home town Toronto, including the highlight of the day -- a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
We enjoyed Canadian hospitality throughout the trip, but perhaps even more important was the wonderful cooperation within our group. Players, parents, and friends stepped up to the plate to help us all overcome what could have been some difficult travel glitches along the way. That feeling of mutual support made the whole experience memorable.
We came home exhausted, but nevertheless proud of ourselves -- We did it!
Thanks again to Kyle Woo and to all the kids, parents and friends who contributed so generously to make this trip  possible.
